MOODS :




Declarative : Giving explanation or statemen.
Imperative : Giving orders/request or strong suggestions.
Exclamative : To exclaim/express emotions.
Interrogrative : W/H question. Yes/No. To find the truth.

Clauses = Subject + Verb

SVO concept :
Ali (subject) + loves (verb) + cake (object)

Main clause : Can stand on its own.
Subordinate : Cannot stand on its own.

Lily is eating // her favourite food
(main clause) // (subordinate clause)

1. Noun Clause :

I/like to eat.
main clause//subordinate


2. Relative Clause
- giving details (adjective)

define :
Peter is wearing a blue shirt.

non-define :
Peter the smart boy is wearing a blue shirt.


3. Adverbial Clause
-usually in the middle of a sentence

i) Time : when, after, since, until.
ii) Purpose : in order to, in order that.
iii) Reason : as, because, in case.
iv) Result : so, that.
